PAPER CUTS

When's enough... Enough?

I had this mistake which i deliberately enacted to suffice regarding prioritizing something of great importance. This has then led to a break-up of a good relationship- or shall we say, friendship and companionship.

Well, i was thinking all along that i'd be forgiven, the fact is, i pleaded guilty and asked for forgiveness, wrote a letter of full repentance, tried approaches with humility and sincerity but all were dumped in vain.

So i guess, my attempts of reconciliation are enough.

Lessons learnt:
- face and tell the truth right at the moment of the incident
- ask forgiveness, if t'was not pardoned, let go...
- do it sincerely and honestly

Get a hot nice shower everynight

Am just saying, pamper yourself. Always get a hot nice shower before going to bed in the night time. It relieves those achy muscles, plus it deepens the sleep behavior of the body. You might even achieve REM in making it a habit.

Don't forget to end your hot shower with a 20 second bristle of cold water to close the pores on your skin. Wrap yourself with the towel and get ready for bed.

3 benefits of reading a book before you goto sleep

My day isn't complete without having this ritual done. There are three main reasons why i can't let go of this habit (which has been my practice for 2 decades already).

1. Read a book in bed to prepare the mind in drifting to slumber
- it's like a dose of a glass of hot milk, where the mind is being lulled, being readied to enter slumber and unconsciousness, as the words go blurred slowly, calmly...

2. Read to enrich the vocabulary
- in my case, this has been a way to continuously increase my learning of words. This is only applicable if u have a thesaurus or a webster beside you. In my case, i use my phone's lexicon app whenever the word is unfamiliar to me.

3. Read for pleasure
- it's one way to feed the part of the brain where pleasure is located. it's a sense of fulfillment whenever i finish a chapter or two. And returns are greatly varied, maybe i'm running out of words how to explain this, but to those who felt the connection with a book while in bed, that's what i'm talking about.

When to use Twitter and Facebook to air your Customer Service Concerns?

I know! Everyone has it's own experience getting pissed off by talking to call center peeps, even escalating to the "so-called" SUPERVISORS! They can only do enough (well? the least of times maybe...)
(i've got nothing against call center peeps cuz i was once before in that field, and that's gonna be a different blog next time inshallah :-)

I've had enough of these back in Philippines like Globe Broadband, PLDT, Smart to name a few... For some reasons, it's just  human nature that BAD EXPERIENCES (customer service) mark or leave footprints in the brain, nevertheless the good customer experience is just then being overthrown or shadowed-over by these bad delivery of good service which a consumer expects due to the numerous occurrences.

So at times, you just wanna blurt out the "Excuse my  French" thing over the phone, although it's not really the person whom you are directing at, BUT the service itself... Well, Those were the days!!!
Here comes Social Networking as a medium to air and voice over your feedback regarding bad, incompetent and awful service...

If you have Facebook (raise your hand if you don't have one), you can post or describe how the service got you inconvenienced... and for sure some of your friends over the network would drop a comment.
If you have a Twitter account, follow the specific company that gave you a headache or those higher ops on the company (corporations nowadays have their own twitter accounts and even their high ranking officers as well).

Do your homework and do some googling in search for these peeps.

Really! these guys in the higher ranks have an eye for seeing the big picture... for each customer is valuable, the power of "word of mouth" multiplies when a single upset customer spreads the bad service he got, which in turn gives a domino effect to have him believed especially by his circle of friends. Not only that these guys have the power, but they have the attitude to Help for Real!!!

Moreover, if you have a BLOG, and the traffic on it is quite nice, then that would be another channel to express your boredom and dissatisfaction. But don't forget to put some positivity to it! Of course, you don't want to sound like a whining car.

If you had one bad experience, and you feel like you've been robbed and abused, i do not encourage you to follow the above, it's still your choice, your discretion!

Mom's day is approaching!!!

Although Mother's day is celebrated on different days/months of the year in certain countries, this is the time of the year where it's a MUST to show-off how much you love your mom.

Simple things to offer her are the most extra-ordinary.
- a well written greeting card (with your own personalized dedication coming from your heart)
- surprise her with a bouquet of flowers

or think of it this way...go back in time when you were a kid crying out loud to have your mom buy the yellow or blue balloon. And after she paid for it, you had the balloon tied on your wrist watching it in awe how it floated on the air... your howling subsided and you can feel the forming of little smile-satisfaction in your head.

Probably, that kind of feeling you want to reciprocate to your mother, after all these years, she has been there for you. Be creative in giving your gift! The essential factor here is the way how you made her feel on a Mother's Day of 2010. Make it unforgettable...

Freaked Out?

Possibly, i'm just bored! With time so slowly moving, crawling, giving me an unnerving feeling while typing on my work-desk.
Of course i'm done what was expected me to do for the day! And so this imagination of mine flew back in the days when i was in love. Reliving the moments of how does it feel. And this, i was able to convey my thoughts and feelings thru this poem.

Yay! i think i'm freaked out.. (lolz) ☺
When was the last time i wrote such thing? Decades ago, i guess.

Earthday today? (please read)

Thanks to twitter!  for i found out that today is earthday-April 22, 2010. That was known to me after i opened my eyes in bed while reading the latest tweets on my mobile. I then asked myself. What can i do today to celebrate it?
i thought of the trees immediately, possibly i will abstain from using the printer today at the office? Nya! haha!! I'll see.

Seriously! how old is our Earth today? i got goosebumps thinkin on what's happening all around, not to mention the volcanic eruptions, floods, the quaking of the earth, news on forest fires and the continuous depletion of natural resources.

I emphatized to our earth... i know she will soon retire. She must have been tired all along, not losing patience to us at all.

what do you think?

Ever heard - "Topiary"?

am sure you saw Edward Scissorhands flick! if you were mesmerized by the awesome garden of sculpted shrubs  & trees of greens molded as animals and other decorative figures, so am i!!!
addition to my vocabulary is the word TOPIARY. i din't know till now that the works of Edward is tagged by that noun above.

thoughts on Zodiac

i'm no true believer about zodiac and horoscopes but i came across about the nature of Librans. That is, it's the only inanimate sign among the zodiac, others represent either animals or humans but hey! i found this sign so perfect, not only it does symbolizes for balance and justice, but as per the article i've read, it's oozing with the so-called amiable human traits - i guess humility is one ;)
..plus, these peeps are amongst the most civilized from the herd of all signs.

i cant help but to inject here about the ZODIAC movie i've watched back in 2008 if im not mistaken.. i came to the point of DLing the soundtrack via torrent, however, it left me horrified and taken aback re the stabbing scene - so gruesome and memorable.

back to the sign of Libra, indeed it's amazing!!!

nomao application (Xray app for the iphone?)

I was busy makin' my report on my desk when i got interrupted by one of my colleagues, literally dragging me to his desk to check the video of the blog he's reading.
Guess what? an iphone app with the xray vision. So what come's into your mind about the word Xray?
check out the link above for the not-so-hot-video.

i did my homework and checked with techcrunch' regarding this NOMAO app, which is specifically available for French users by now! sad to say, it's saying "an augmented reality app", never mentioned about "xrays".  ------sighs ;(

The 3 virtues a man should've

You've heard this already but it has always been neglected, although few are enacting it, it would never be enough.

In a world where chaos reigns, where peace seems to be elusive despite in a cul de sac, and happiness is somewhat "relative", everyman should carry these 3 virtues:
-FAITH
-HOPE
-LOVE

and the greatest of 'em all is love.

Stepping beyond the limits

Principles vary per person.... but i was thinkin that sometimes, you can bend your own principles without actually breakin it...

it would be too much though if once in a while you're doing(bending) it. there'd be no more sense of sticking to that principle. somehow, "change" will come into the picture.

to change or not to change?

another day has gone

im quite still-happy, for i treasure this day, despite the hubbubs @ today's work, was able to maintain positive perception with things and the surrounding themes.

it's all in the power of the mind, the willingness to divert those lowly-unneverving emotions that human could ever tag or make a name off.

and i chose to be happy and kickingly alive, influencing other's, teaching other's with goodwill, may it be the least way to handle but deep down inside, i know, i felt the bonding.

Lumayo ka sa balon

May kasabihang, "kung ayaw mong mahulog sa balon", lumayo ka at huwag kang maglaro sa labi nito.
This thought has imprinted on my mind so much while listening to him (a person). And i tried to goback on how i'd live on this earth weeks ago, what i mean is, these past few weeks, reminiscing those thoughts and scenes made me guilty. How come i'm so weak nowadays?

i tried to fight, but i've always fallen, left with remorseful contempt.
One thing that has never left me unsatiated is the power of PRAYER.
Check it yourself.

Yesterday, is a past

Just droppin by to appreciate what's in store for me today. It has rained last night, quite not heavy but it poured. And see the effect when i looked outside the window.

Freakin, Holy Cow!!!! the weather is damn right gorgeous!!!! Love it;)

Losing your trust

Losing trust to someone is being fooled from the past, the present and the future.
That's what the ego dictates and the heart and mind speaks.

sad but true.

i've no passion in reading. Think Again!!!

I find it hard to believe that some people do not appreciate the art of reading. May it be books, magazines, literatures, technical guides, novels, fiction stuff, etc... Lo! and behold, reading and appreciation for it can be developed.

If you think you are not inclined in comprehending the author's thoughts?, do it in baby steps...
as a jumpstarter, Make a habit of reading before you enter dreamland.. (could be softbounds or thru your mobile phones via ereader and the likes)

One great benefit of habitual reading is, it broadens your horizons and perspectives.

Try it!!!

Do you have an enemy?

Read Sun Tzu's The Art of War.

Everything is in there from tactics to "how-to execute".
Cunningly strategic.
Masterfully written.

Accept the imprefections

While it's true that failing hurts and mind-blowing at times, i think it would be easier to recover when you get at peace to it (that situation of failure).

Learn to accept imperfections that's being encountered in the day-to-day living. It would just be harder if you expect too much.

Always learn from your mistakes and make sure not to do the same mistake twice.
